Steel and cast iron casting

A vast variety of casting methods at production facilities of our partners allows us to process customer requests thoroughly and offer the best manufacture method in conformity with the requirements of your drawing.

Methods of steel and cast iron casting

  • Sand-clay mold casting
  • V- process casting
  • Lost-wax casting
  • Shell-mold casting
  • Cavity-less casting

Accuracy classes vary depending on casting methods from CT9 to CT5 under DIN ISO 8062.
These methods allow production of items weighing from 0.005 kg to 1000 kg.

Heat processing

Heat treatment of castings, i.e. the process of thermal action on materials in order to change their structure and mechanical properties in the intended direction. Heat processing allows increase in strength and hardness of castings, or on the contrary, adds softness.

Heat treatments with hardening effects (e.g. forging) result also in increased durability of metal. Softening heat treatments (e.g. annealing, tempering) ensure high flexibility of metal.

During heat processing of castings depending on the result wanted the following heat-treating methods are applied:

  • normalizing to equalize the structure of metal;
  • hardening to increase strength, hardness and durability;
  • tempering to increase flexibility and reduce fragility of the material.

Surface treatment of castings is conducted in compliance with customer requirements. As a rule, grit blasting is applied.

Mechanical processing

Up-to-date equipment and top-ranked professionals we work with ensure mechanical treatment of parts of any complexity in strict conformity with customer requirements and preferences.
